It was a cool week. The first of many to come. It started out dark and rainy but ended sunny and warmer. The seasons are starting their slow change again. I took some time to visit the arboretum again. The ground was covered with these beautiful turkey feathers. The flock wasn't far away. Summer also showed off some interesting fruit. For the first time I can remember, I'm sorry to see summer go. I got out more this year. Walking in the woods, swimming in the lakes. Winter? I'll put that off for a while yet. Time to enjoy the oncoming fall.

That first photo of the lawn looks so peaceful. Also, what is that feather from and what are the two kinds of fruit you showed?

The feather is a turkey feather. It's very iridescent, I'm not sure it shows. The yellow fruit is a Mountain Silverbell and the rounder one is Painted Buckeye. Some unusual things in the arboretum.

You have a good eye for photography. The shots are both beautiful and evoke a mood. I am especially fond of the Painted Buckeye - I like the rough texture. Great shots.
