It was a cool week. The first of many to come. It started out dark and rainy but ended sunny and warmer. The seasons are starting their slow change again. I took some time to visit the arboretum again. The ground was covered with these beautiful turkey feathers. The flock wasn't far away. Summer also showed off some interesting fruit. For the first time I can remember, I'm sorry to see summer go. I got out more this year. Walking in the woods, swimming in the lakes. Winter? I'll put that off for a while yet. Time to enjoy the oncoming fall.
I've recently come across the work of artist Dianne Bersea. Her colors and shapes are beautiful. Graphic but soft. Please enjoy a look at a few of her pieces. Visit her website at: http://www.islemuse.com/Dianne_Bersea_-_My_Story.html "I love spending hours in quiet communion with nature; drawing watercolor sketching, becoming attuned to the smallest sound or movement. I enjoy making quick sketches to catch a cloud or special light, sitting so quietly that small animals and birds forget I'm there. In the finished work that happens in my studio, there is a fine balance between intuition and technical manipulation..., and above all a celebration.." ~ Dianne Bersea
A few drawings of things I stumbled across this week. I had a lot of fun working with line drawings this week. |
