On a hilltop overlooking Madison's west side, this park was the farm and personal retreat of former University Professor Edward T. Owen. Today the 96 acres have been reclaimed by prairies and oak savannas.

The weather is finally starting to warm. There is plenty of snow to melt but the sun is warm and I can feel spring in the air.
Hubbard Art Center in Middleton is hosting A Celebration of Trees Art exhibit. I have two paintings in the show, both receiving 3rd Place ribbons. The show celebrating trees is timed to coincided with the city's Tree Lighting ceremony and Holiday Open House. There's a great variety of art - sculpture, paintings, prints, photography and children's art. Stop by if you're in the area.
Fall is here and the leaves are starting to turn already. I picked up a few on my walk and brought them home to draw.
It's been a little while since I posted...again. I've been trying to do some drawing every day. These are a few that I've done.
